Impressive designer furniture tastefully combined with traditional Florentine materials such as pietra serena sandstone and marble, give the Calimala boutique hotel a unique, astonishing atmosphere. Its 38 rooms, housed in a beautiful 16th-century building a short distance from Florence Cathedral, have been redesigned by Alex Mitlis to provide comfort and unconventional elegance. The bathrooms also offer an escape from the ordinary, blending the New York-style Memphis consoles (in single and double versions), the sophisticated Art Deco Nobel washbasin and the vintage-inspired Blues bathroom fixtures, New York accessories and City taps.
