Casa Toscana, Argentina

Living immersed in a corner of Tuscany just a stone's throw from Buenos Aires in the utmost contemporary comfort within seemingly centuries-old walls: this ultra-luxurious 2500 square metre family home overlooking golf courses and the hub of an exclusive Country Club, is built on a dream made from a series of apparently irreconcilable opposites. Although it was built from scratch with concrete and metal structural elements that incorporate the most advanced home automation solutions, Casa Toscana owes its name, its proportions, its lush gardens and every detail of its interior design to the owners' love of Tuscan architecture and landscape. And translating their travel memories into a reality to be experienced on a daily basis was the task put to the design team of Argentinian studio Estudio Du. Behind the classical arches of the facade, a monumental hall opens up, affording access to the lounges and dining rooms, the cinema, the games room and all the rooms dedicated to social life. A double imperial staircase leads up to the private rooms on the first floor. Next to the bedrooms designed for the owners’ three children and their guests, a grandiose suite for a couple opens up, with two walk-in wardrobes and two bathrooms. In the one for her, the sophisticated retro lines and the clarity of the Celine bathtub succeed in suspend the bathing ritual in a timeless atmosphere too.
