In an exquisitely beautiful early 20th century historic building, Civico.64 is the apartment designed around the living philosophy and professional needs of a well-known digital entrepreneur. The dichotomy between the intimacy of a nest-refuge and the characteristic open layout of a show home is upstaged by the extraordinary formal balance of the interior design. The house - spanning 300 sqm - is conceived as an endless succession of dramatic views, in which each wall is a veritable theatre set and makes a perfect Instagram-worthy background. Alongside the ancient wooden floors, the doors decorated with mouldings and the giant crystal chandeliers, surprising details, iconic design pieces and traditional objects used out of context appear everywhere, such as the retro drinks trolley, which becomes a sophisticated dressing table accessory holder in the bathroom. In this room flooded with light and animated by a multitude of green plants, the Devon&Devon collections play a leading role: the white of the enamelled cast iron Regina bathtub and the Bogart washbasins dialogues perfectly with the candour of the marble floors and coverings, featuring precious touches in the form of gold taps and feet, also chosen for the Blues sanitaryware.
