In the charming medieval hamlet of Bolsena, an old 120 sqm stone house has been transformed into an exclusive retreat for just two guests.
Magnificent views of the lake and fabulously furnished rooms invite guests to slow right down and take in the beauty that surrounds them.
This new addition to the Corte della Maestà portfolio is a typically nineteenth-century idea of hospitality, with sumptuous antique porcelain and finely embroidered linens, family portraits, antique and spectacular French furniture, crystal lamps and silver candelabras. The Victorian design of the Regina bathtub—in a new deep purple colour—is perfect in the large bathroom with its sage green walls, colourful tiles and family mementos that all merge successfully to create layers of memories.
Sinking into the warm water, embraced by the seamless lines of the cast iron, guests are pampered by the gentleness of a brand new pace of life, one of blurred timelines and a finally new-found lightness.
