Private villa, Lake Orta

Project by BERTOLINI GALLI architects
Resting since 1878 on the edge of the most romantic of the small lakes in Northern Italy, this luxurious neoclassical villa is now the holiday home of an Italian family. Extensive restoration work curated by BERTOLINI GALLI architects has preserved the building’s sophisticated sense of heritage and retained the original exquisite finishes and layout. In the eight bathrooms, geometric flooring, neo-romantic free-standing baths, vintage towel warmers, taps with a nod to the 20th century, elegant ceramic panelling, bon ton lamps and mirrors, plus a colour palette of whites, blacks and neutral hues all recreate an enchanting atmosphere rich in heritage.
