Pure, minimal, and perfectly in line with the style of Versilian villas: seen from the outside, the luxurious holiday residence of a Northern European couple appears to fully abide by the unwritten rule of absolute discretion. It is only after crossing the threshold that loyalty to local tradition gives way to a distinctly cosmopolitan living philosophy.
In a series of settings that unfold like authentic theatrical scenes, each room is centred around a decorative motif, an object, or a work of art from far away, purchased by the owners during their travels.
Architect Lorenzo Borzonasca of Studio Verso Architettura guided the interior design, crafting a bespoke vision that feels simultaneously intimate and gracefully open to the world. A project designed to welcome the customers’ new-nomad creative universe into the home, masterfully weaving memory and contemporary elements with a sense of curiosity.
The project shares a colour palette that is both vibrant and subtle, anchored in pastel pinks and blues, aquamarine greens, and deep aubergine, with unexpected bursts of colour that achieve a flawless balance between airy lightness and formal elegance. The walls, frescoed by a Dutch artist featuring motifs inspired by botany and nature, become theatrical backdrops for Art Nouveau furnishings with unmistakable flowing lines and for custom-designed furniture.
In the bathrooms, the playful exuberance of colour softens, allowing the focus to fall on the neo-romantic charm of the Aurora Bijoux White jewel-bathtub, chosen for both the master bathroom and the guest bathroom, which looks directly onto the beautiful garden and pool.
