In Voronezh’s old town, in southwestern Russia, a two-level penthouse has been completely redesigned with the intention of conjuring up the atmosphere of a country house. The Muscovite architect Nataliia Molbo took on and overcame this challenge by accentuating the splendid views over the treetops of the surrounding gardens and decorating the interiors with a French-inspired sophisticated elegance.
The white walls framed by stucco cornices act as an eye-catching backdrop for designer furniture covered with bold-coloured fabrics, antique crystal chandeliers and an enormous number of sculptures and lithographs that give the house the air of an art gallery.
In the bathroom, stylistic continuity is ensured by the sculptural outline of the Aurora bathtub and the timeless elegance of the New Etoile console, the Plaza mirror, the Daisy lamp and the Heritage floor.
